Sweet character investigating a mysterious death alongside the local detective. Interesting characters. Pretty good narration. I didn’t like the male voices, sorry.

Quick, Clean, Cozy.

Death, Divorce, and Dessert was another great read by Kayla Michelle and K.M. Morgan. Chloe Cook is a makeup sales woman who doesn't expect her normal day at work turn out deadly. She showsup at a client's house for their appointment when she finds out her dear friend is murdered. She does what she can to find the killer. I can't wait to read more by the authors.

One evening, Chloe Cook is at her parents' home, celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary. She, they, and her boyfriend all hope that the recent spate of murders in their little Cape Code town is finally at an end.

The next morning, in her capacity as a makeup salesperson, she has an appointment with her friend, Emily Hightower, to show her the latest additions to the makeup line she represents. When she arrives, she's very surprised to find Emily's door slightly ajar, and Emily not responding the her knock, the bell, or even to Chloe pulling out her phone and calling. So she steps through that open door--and finds Emily lying dead on her living room floor, apparently stabbed to death.

This is not the peaceful new trend she was hoping for.

Police Detective Thicke and the medical examiner are soon on the scene. Thicke, at least, even if not the higher powers of the universe, decides that a new trend is needed, and he decides to work with, rather than against, Chloe and her amateur investigating. And working together, they find they're a pretty good team, and moreover that it's good to have another person to rely on and bounce ideas off of.

This isn't a story with a lot of depth, but it's fun and enjoyable. Recommended for light entertainment.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, and I am reviewing it voluntarily.

Death, Divorce, and Dessert, my twelfth read/listen from author K.M. Morgan & first with co-writer Kayla Michelle. A cute, well-written, clean, cozy mystery, obviously I like Morgan's well-written & enjoyable work. I look forward to reading more from her. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Narrator Stephanie Quinn’s talented narration added greatly to the book's enjoyment.
