Cute Story!💜

This story was nice but for me, it was a little too nice. I didn’t feel any drama, no question of either of their feelings, no jealousy. Cute, romantic & charming. But not much more.
The narration was amazing! If you’re tired of the drama, angst & broken characters that we see in the average romance today, then I recommend this book. If you’re looking for a bit more then this book may not be for you!!

Low angst sweet book

Scott Taylor, a professional hockey player has never gotten over Becca. She too, has never gotten over Scott. This is a second chances romance and is really sweet and low angst. Both characters are so nice and low conflict that I just enjoyed listening to them achieve their HEA. The one thing is that since there was no angst it probably could have been shortened (although it wasn’t really that long as it was but I think that it got a little dull towards the end). However, that said, these low angst, happy books have their place!

Tim Paige did a good job. Good pacing and a smooth voice. I thought some of his other male voices were a bit too feminine but otherwise, he did a great job differentiating between the characters.
I’ve listened to Sarah Puckett before and her beautiful voice is perfect for Becca. She does a good job with different voices. There were some repetitions in the audio but that was a minor issue.

Sweet Second Chance

This is the first book in the Indianapolis Eagles Series. Scott and Becca's story is a sweet second chance to love. Tim Paige and Sarah Puckett did a good job with the narration.

Good book....

I love these types of books that there is second chance love, without all of the drama. Scott and Becca were just so perfect! Loved their story and the way they reconnect!! Great book!

I have to say that a narration can make a book great. I liked this narration...I didn't love it. The male narrator was decent, where I may listen to other books of his. The female communicated in a way that made certain scenes hard to listen to. I can't put my finger on it, and I'm not sure i would listen to another of her narrations. I'm sure it's just me and my personal opinion. However, I liked the second chance story.

Sweet Second Chance Romance

This was my first book by this author and I went in blind and it was clear from the start that it was a second chance romance. Scott and Becca were high school sweethearts who drifted apart when his hockey career took off and being apart too much became too much for her. Since then, she has worked as a nurse in the ER but has regretted ended the relationship and maybe not giving it more of a chance. Scott also sees Becca as the one who got away and wishes they could reconnect and views this as the one thing missing from his otherwise perfect life.

Becca and Scott reunite fairly early on in the book as they are from the same hometown and he returns to celebrate a Stanley Cup win in his hometown. After making his intentions known pretty early on, it seems like they resume their relationship pretty seemlessly aside from some small concerns over whether Becca can do the long-distance relationship thing.

Overall Becca and Scott were well matched and they appeared to have good chemistry and a good relationship. This book was overall very even-keeled with no drama or big surprises or huge emotional shifts. I kept wondering if there would be some kind of drama. I did enjoy this story and if you are in the mood for a low angst, no drama love story this would be perfect. It does seem ssomewhat shorter in length and could be a bit of a quicker listen if a bit shorter on time also. I would definitely like to read or listen to more from the author to see how this book compares to others that she has written.

I enjoy listening to books by Sarah Puckett and think she did a good job with the narration of this book as well. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
