Contending that many prayers are not answered because they are not intelligently offered, Torrey examines the moods, the methods, and the meanings of prayer.

Based on biblical principles, his teaching highlights perseverance, the guidance of the Spirit, and the will of God in the context of an intimate relationship with the Lord. In addition, Torrey identifies various obstacles to effective prayer and how to overcome them. How to Pray is credited with having inspired a worldwide prayer movement.

Wonderful book on Prayer

I appreciate a book that is not unnecessarily wordy. He sticks to the point and is very powerful and accurate in what he communicates. I highly recommend this book!
