Publisher's summary

Battle lines are drawn.

There is no escaping the coming conflict. It is a battle that Kyle Puckett and his group of friends and family cannot win, but one they must fight.

They are isolated by nature, outnumbered by their enemies, and surrounded by a sea of the living dead. Struggling to overcome setbacks and using every tactic they can devise, their survival may require the ultimate sacrifice.

Zed’s World 4

I have enjoying this post-apocalyptic series with all of the characters D Day, Carmine, Ben, Keith, Stephanie, Annie, Amanda, Robert, Mark, and the Puckett’s. There is a lot of zombie and gang action but then there are sorrowful ones with sacrifice of lives. Look forward for book 5 with surviving characters and great narration but recommend listening to books 1-3 first. Book 4 in the series

I did enjoy this book. I really liked getting the full story of the characters. I really hope that there is a 5th book and that it comes out soon. I will probably relisten to the complete series before hand. The narrator did a great job and enhances your listening experience. I received this for free for an honest review.

Uncomplicated, entertaining listen.

This is the fourth book I’ve read/listened to by this author and the final of this series. It’s a very typical zombie apocalypse story in some ways- protagonists accomplishing more than would seem appropriate for the average person, lots of battles and conflict, typical zombies, little mention of mundane life.
It’s different in ways too- there are two groups that each have their good and bad guys. I like that I had a hard time siding with either group and I often wanted to scream “just talk to each other, you’ll learn neither of you want this”...well except the instigator on each side. It made me feel angry at most of the real world for all the unnecessary fighting.
This is an uncomplicated, entertaining, somewhat original listen. I’m glad I listened to it.
The book ends in a way that makes me wonder if there will be another book. This could be the end, or not.

This is the eleventh book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Andrew B Wehrlen). He is a wonderful audiobook narrator. His performances have drawn me into every book of his I’ve listened to. His male and female character voices are great and all individualized.

There are no explicit sex scenes, there is violence and swearing.

The End?

Pretty good series that covers a lot of characters, territory and conflicts between survivors. The zombies are sort of incidental to the interactions between characters and groups. The book ends with a cliffhanger and twist for one of the best characters.
Andrew Wehrlen continues his excellent narration of this series.

Jabba Juice!

Volume three, or four depending who’s counting, begins with the military protecting an oil refinery from the hoard. D-Day and Carmen join up with Danny’s crew while Danny, Elaine, and Naomi spend several days escaping from under a mountain. The Puckett-Montero feud is coming to a head. The zombies take a back seat to the feud but it’s an interesting development and keeps the tension growing. There are the usual situations between military-civilian, civilian-raiders, and zombie-everyone. Friendship, love, sacrifice, violence, betrayal, all good stuff. Great Story

This story flowed smoothly and honestly unlike some Zombie tales.

The characters sounded realistic and didn’t perpetually oh you shouldn’t do that factor.

Andrew B Wehrlen always does a fantastic job narrating.

The end or is it?

Of all the books this one was the saddest death of two families the Nelson's and Martinez due to one lie spread by JB Nelson just to cause heartache and trouble. You learn more about other members of the Puckett friends and family who die and in the end the Puckett family is taken away to a new place with other uninfected people to start a new beginning but at the same time mourning for their fallen friends. You see a new beginning for the US with uninfected military members coming home again to help rebuild the country and reclaim what was lost.
But at the sametime you see the lost of D Day due to a bite after a battle and hear of a new president and a possible cure and guess who that is!
Wish there was a book five the author did something I do not like and that is leaving you dangling his books are good but doing this make me wonder if I should purchase others books by him

Does not disappoint

Great fourth entry into the Zed's world series. The main arc from the previous book is wrapped up and a new arc begins that also expands the world immensely.

Narrator is excellent as always.

I look forward to the next book.
