It might not be the way Kate and Logan expected to spend their week, but it will certainly be a summer camp to remember.

Forced prose

The male narrator is awful, the constant forced PC remarks are painful, and the inclusion of LGBTQ+ themes feel so forced and unnatural most of the time. I don’t care that it was in the story but the constant awkward push to include it so much felt like a lecture on how to be PC rather than a story. The first book was better just stick to writing a story. It also felt waaaay to mature for 15-16 year olds. Obviously teens make out and do stuff but dang this felt really heavy and mature for a YA reader.

Just doesn't feel like a book about teenagers

The kids seem almost too mature in their thinking. I also feel there was too much discussion surrounding LGBT. It felt like the author was trying to teach it to the reader. Lastly, the narrator said some words completely wrong.

A Fun Excursion Back Into the Otherworld

Overall, I really enjoyed this. Compared to the first book, the action picked up a lot more quickly, and more of the focus was on the plot, mystery, and monsters than the teens doing teenage stuff. While the bringing in of old characters was a bit out of left field, it was a fun listen, and I really enjoyed revisiting this universe that I loved so much as a teen.

The narration was not great, but for such a short book, it worked well enough.

Great story!! Horrible audio!

I LOVE Kelley Armstrong’s books! The plots, the characters, the side plots, everything!!! I loved all of that about Wolf’s Curse. In fact, if not for the strong plot and characters I would have given up. The voice actor for the male characters sounded as if it was generated by a computer, and poorly done at that! So staccato! It was grating to listen to! I had to keep adjusting the speed of playback when the guys were speaking. Ugh!!

The LgbTQ deserves more seamless push in the story

try too hard to be socially correct as if they'll be every member of the LGBTQ in 1 book in this way seems forced in this structure the author had to make it more seamless nothing wrong with having everybody present just need to go about it in a better way where it doesn't seem forced
