As they push deeper into the darkness, they uncover a horror that traces back to the earliest days of Mother’s rule. They quickly realize that their only hope for escape is to trust one another, even if it means taking an unthinkable risk.

With two nuclear warheads in their possession, Tanner and Samantha embark on their journey back to Mount Weather. Along the way, they encounter a bounty hunter in search of his next job. Agreeing to transport him to a place known only as “Sanctuary,” they discover a community built around the unlikeliest of currencies. With evil threatening to tear them apart, they must once again stand together if they are to have any hope of returning home.

Enjoyed the adventure

Narration was spot on, I’ve switched between reading the series as I can and listening to audio books. This one was on my back log for a while as I completed others. A year later and I’m behind hind again because there are more. Thank you for sharing your world with the rest of us.

With Skills & Luck, You May Live

I like post apocalyptic stories. This one felt like it was predicting some real life current events. The characters were not only well developed. They were sustainable for 12 books. The main characters were quite likable…. Even lovable. In a few years, I will surely listen to the entire series again. I’ll be rooting for Mason, Bowie, Tanner, Samantha, Issa & Jessi.

Good start, rushed finish

There was a good start to the book. Introducing another female for the MC was typical. MC has bad luck with women. The ending was rushed. Even if it was 50 pages more it would have helped ease the end versus drop off at Mt Weather arrival.

Gone - but not goodbye?

My only complaint is that it was too short! A great wrap up for the series?!

Enjoyable series

12 books is a lot , looked forward to each one. I really enjoyed the characters and the humor as well.
