Friendsgiving normally happened the week of Thanksgiving. Jillian Sayles saw the concept one random night where insomnia was present while scrolling Pinterest.
She asked her friends to fly in for dinner and surprisingly, everyone obliged.
This short story by national best-selling author, Nako, is pleasantly sweet and to the point.
NAKO sheds light and emphasis on the importance of friendship centered around black women.
If listening to short stories are not your thing, please pass over this story.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Audible: Danielle Whiteside: This was the first story that we’ve heard her narrate and she did a fantastic job. She brought the characters to life while also bringing all the feelings the story brought forth. The audible is a must listen for sure.
If true friendship was a book, it would be Friendsgiving by Nako. This was our first introduction to Friendsgiving, and it brought a new meaning to the holiday. This short story was written in a way that it didn’t feel short at all. In a few pages you come to love these women and their bond. Nako showed the importance of having a sister circle. A must read for all.
