If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I absolutely refuse to tell a lie no matter the consequences. So don’t ask me a direct question unless you’re prepared for a direct answer — that’s something my SoCal sewing girlfriends have learned the hard way.

But who would have thought my honesty policy would get me fired from my job at the preschool? Or that a desperate — and not to mention devastatingly handsome — single father of one of my (now-former) students would hire me that same day as a nanny for his daughter?

I’m an education professional. How hard can taking care of a four-year-old and her over-stressed, over-worked father be?

Such a fun, cute story. And not all fluff. The main characters struggle with things that have happened in the past and find healing.

The narrator did a good job with dialogue but the narrative in between was pretty monotone.

All in all I highly recommend Molly.

Cute!

loved this book.... Chloe is so like my granddaughter.
This is a book for any age....funny, clean and just fun.
Narration of Ben...not my favorite but Narrator was trying to get across how tired and stressed he was.

Love it

Adorable story with fun characters! It is a great introduction to a new series. Quirky, funny and romantic.

This was a fast and lighthearted read which also had some depth to it. The main and supporting characters were all likable, but the star was definitely Chloe the little girl!
I would say that there were some unrealistic moments in this book and it went by very fast, but it’s that type of a book after all :)
The narration was very fitting for the characters, the narrator did a great job and I believe it added to my experience.
One last note, I wasn’t aware of this book being a Christian romance getting into it. It wasn’t too heavily felt, but still worth noting.

Cute and quick rom-com

Molly will never tell a lie. As a compulsive truth-teller, working in a Montesorri pre-school, with their child-led learning philosophy, seems ideal. She also has a tender heart toward children. But when parents complain that she's been over-truthful about things like Santa Claus and reproduction, Molly is let go from her job.

If anything is worse than being fired, it's having your firing witnessed by a stranger. But that handsome stranger proceeds to offer Molly a job as a nanny for his 4-year-old, which takes away some of the sting of embarrassment.

Dr. Ben is a widower in desperate need of help in the childcare department. Chloe already loves Miss Molly as a teacher, and what could be a better solution to his need and her unemployment than teaming up to care for his daughter?

This book is a sweet romance, but it's so much more than that. Chloe is adorable and also very much a real child, complete with meltdowns and misadventures. Molly's sewing circle friends are funny and caring. I loved it when Ben would lapse into medical terminology. There are elements of faith, grief, family issues, and racial diversity—all with enough moments of humor to keep me laughing out loud. The serious topics are woven in gently and thoughtfully, and make for a richly layered story.

I listened to this on audiobook and thought the narrator did a great job. I hope I have the chance to catch up with the sewing circle friends when the next Sewing In SoCal book releases in October.
