Ryder, Alvir, and Beriadan are three adventurers who used to be four. After an encounter with a dragon, they are sent reeling and now, they're in Lone Mountain - a mining town that's better described as a powder keg. The dwarves hate humans. The humans hate dwarves. And, a dead heir to a mining fortune serves as the match to tear this town apart.

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.

I am really at a 2.5 rating but I marked it up. I have a hard time getting into this story - it is told in a manner which reminded me almost of a play-by-play of a sports game - which, to me, felt like it kept me at a distance. I listened to this story and, although it is short, I found my mind wandering - a lot. Nothing about it really drew me in and none of the characters were very interesting to me.

The narrator, Paul Burt, did a very nice job and did various character voices
