    When 20-year-old Amanda Wienckowski vanished one night in Buffalo, her mom, Leslie, refused to sit back and wait for answers. She begged police to listen and even parked outside the house where Amanda was last seen — for weeks — hoping her daughter would walk out the front door. What followed would test every ounce of a mother’s strength: a case full of contradictions, silence from the system, and a fight that would stretch on for more than a decade. This is the story of a mother who wouldn’t let the world forget her daughter — no matter how long it takes for justice.

    In November 2024, Ashley Flowers sat down with John Ramsey at his home for a one-on-one conversation about the murder of his daughter, JonBenét Ramsey.

    In the year since that interview, John has met with the Boulder Police Department and appeared in multiple media outlets, pushing for additional testing in his daughter’s case. Ashley has also continued meeting with people connected to the case, and hopes to one day soon have an update to share.

    Following Boulder Police’s most recent update on Dec. 12, 2025, it appears more testing is planned and efforts continue to solve the nearly 30-year mystery of who killed JonBenét. John's conversation with Ashley may give us a clue into what items they're looking at testing.

If a child or teen discloses abuse, believe what they say. Stay calm, listen, and affirm that it’s not their fault. Praise them for coming forward.Report it. If the child is in danger, call 911. Otherwise, contact your local police, sheriff's department, or state child protection agency. If you’re concerned local police might have a conflict of interest, contact your state police, state attorney general, or the FBI.Document/preserve everything. Save messages, screenshots, call logs — anything that could help support the report.Seek emotional support: Abuse by a trusted adult is incredibly disorienting. Crime Junkie is an excellent true crime podcast that feels like you're sitting down with a couple of friends and hashing out cases. I love that Crime Junkie discusses a variety of cases including murder, missing persons, and unsolved cases. Ashley and Brit treat each case with care and respect realizing that at the end of the day these cases are of real people. These stories are not told purely to entertain. These are victims who deserve justice and the tragedy of these events are shared to educate, to bring awareness, and even provide a little hope.

I have been a long time listener and was looking for something new. I tried out Crime Junkies patreon and enjoyed ALL of the bonus episodes. I highly recommend!!

Crime Junkie is the gold standard. Ashley Flowers is a phenomenal story teller. I love that she & Brit get right to the point, there is no wasted off-topic dialogue. And these two ladies do a lot of good for victims & their families. I’ve devoured a lot of TC content and it just doesn’t get any better!

I love the way they speak. They stay on track and tell the story in a way that keeps you interested in the story but doesn't slow you down like a lot of my other favorite podcasts. I binged so quickly then signed up for patreon and am now waiting impatiently for every new episode! They are amazing!
