Absolutely Fascinating

This podcast is unapparelled and epic in scope. It covers the English revolution, the American revolution, the French revolution, the Haitian revolution, the Spanish-American Wars of Independence, The July Revolution (1830 France),the Revolution of 1848, The Paris Commune, the Mexican revolution, and Russian Revolution (both 1905 and 1917). The English and American revolutions start of pretty slow but Mike really hits his stride on the French revolution and after that it becomes an amazing Podcast. You can tell Mike is passionate about the subject and makes its exciting.

Impossible to track

The content was well researched and I enjoyed detail, complexity and nuance tremendously, unfortunately, the Audible was terrible. It lost it’s place at the end of each episode or sooner if interrupted, forcing me to scroll all the way from beginning looking for last “finished” episode. Very frustrating-

Amazing trek through the early modern world

Mike Duncan is a great storyteller of history. He is able to contextualize the important parts of history for these great turning points. The show often goes into detail left out of most surface coverings of the events that let's you see how individuals actions shape history as well as great ideas.

Best history podcast period

I dont know a better history podcaster than Mike Duncan. Maybe Dan Carlin, but no...Mike is the best. I learned so much with Revolutions. And the way he tells the story, it is just a lot betterand engaging than an audiobook...

More Quality History from Duncan

Followed Mike Duncan from History of Rome to Revolutions and he does not disappoint. This podcast does an excellent job of breaking down a difficult subject matter. Studying revolutions can be so turbulent and controversial. Duncan is able to piece together people and events without being overwhelming. Enjoying this!

Great glimpse into the birth of modern Democracy!

Revolutions is fun because of the complex overlapping of all the different stories. over 500 years and 12 revolutions, we learn what our ancestors did to give us freedom. No matter where you live, a revolution has impacted an ancestor of yours at some point. You owe them the time it take to listen and find out why they did what they did.
