Next up we speak with musical artist Lauren Minear and listen to her latest HIT song, 'Invisible Women' off of her EP of the same name.

Lauren Minear announces the release of her debut album, Invisible Woman, which dropped on October 15, 2022. Her singles from the album, “Soul Tied” and “Last Generation,” are out now on all music streaming platforms.

Produced with a number of collaborators, Minear’s new album consists of 11 songs that she wrote while struggling with postpartum depression during the height of the pandemic. To create the album, Minear worked with multiple producers that she met virtually through an online network, The Online Recording Studio (TORS). One of her collaborators was UK producer Dan Weeks at WWW Studios in London who produced "Soul Tied", "Last Generation", "Too Much Of You", "Heartbroken" and also mastered all of the tracks on the album.    The artist also collaborated with award-winning songwriter, Grace Askew (The Voice, Season 4) on the last track on the album, “The Unknown.” Minear recorded the song as a solo acoustic in her home studio (guest room), and had Weeks mix and master the track.   Minear and Weeks also worked together to expand her sound from an Americana/folk style to a more distinctive soulful, lyric-driven indie pop sound that she has today.   In addition, Minear worked with NYC music producer, composer, mixing engineer, and guitarist Dan Barracuda as a producer and mixer on a number of the tracks. She also brought on guitarist and producer Cory Clark to produce her track, "Long Way Down."     Minear produced one track, "Mothers", herself. She hired strings arranger Stevie Blacke and guitarist Cory Clark to track the instrumental parts. She recruited two close friends who also had babies during the pandemic to sing background vocals.    To keep up with all that Lauren is doing, follow her on IG:   @laurenminearmusic   and on the web at:   www.laurenminearmusic.com   To wrap-up our show I speak with Nicole Tumilowicz, Director of Development and Marketing at the Southampton Animal Shelter.   Nicole talks all things pet adoption and about their fabulous Wag-O-Ween SPOOKTACULAR event which is taking place, at the shelter, on Saturday-October 22, 2022 from 11 am to 3 pm.    Come out for this SPOOKTACULAR event and bring home a friend!!!   To follow and keep up with all that the Southampton Animal Shelter is doing, follow them on IG at:    @southamptonanimalshelteradopt   and on the web at:   www.southamptonanimalshelter.com   Thank you for listening and follow us on IG at: @Thebigfatjoeyshow

  • Interviews with Jon and Dani Wrobell, Stars of HGTV’s Flip To A Million, Performer Ray Castronovo of the band Streetwise and Memphis roots rock artist Chris Nurthen
    Aug 8 2022

Join us as we speak with fellow Long Islanders, Jon and Dani Wrobel, stars of HGTV's new HIT show 'Flip To A Million'.

***Airs Mondays at 9 PM EST on HGTV.

Jon is a real estate expert and businessman who grew up in Suffolk County, NY. Growing up around historic homes, Jon often helped his dad fix up and flip old homes as investments. After meeting his wife Danielle, a.k.a. Dani, an occupational therapist turned interior designer, the pair decided to make flipping and home renovation their career along with founding, True Place Company, a real estate investment firm. As if they're not busy enough, they are also opening a True Place Company home+living store in Sayville, NY. Fellow Long Islanders, come out and support.

Jon teams up with Dani in HGTV's new series, 'Flip To A Million', where they attempt to reach the ultimate $1 million house sale.

In 'Flip To A Million', HGTV conducts an edge-of-your-seat house flipping experiment as never seen before. The six one-hour episodes will follow two couples, Jason and EJ Williams of Chicago and Jon and Dani of Long Island, who are both successful house flippers in their respective markets. During the series, narrated by HGTC star Alison Victoria, the pairs will be dropped in an unfamiliar city-Dallas, Texas-where they will set out to prove that, in the world of real estate, it's possible to start out with almost nothing and turn it into a fortune. With an initial budget of only $1,000.00, each couple will work with the real estate and flipping market to buy, renovate, and sell properties. Their goal: build to a $1 million house sale in just six months. To try to make it happen, the duos must take real risks and go to any length to Flip to a Million.

***Tune in Mondays at 9 PM EST on HGTV to watch 'Flip To A Million'.
