Mane is currently earning around £100 000 per week; he is currently outside of the Reds' 10 highest earners. According to Sport Bild, the reason for Mane's refusal to extend his stay with Liverpool is because the club were against giving the forward the weekly £393 000 wage package he had requested.

    Another hot topic that has been brought up; is Argentina thrashing Italy in the third ever edition of the CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of champions. This fixture sees the winners of the COPA America lock horns with the winners of the European Championship. La Albiceleste have now gone a record 32 games unbeaten with an attack that seems to be too menacing for most opponents. This is the second major international trophy that Lionel Messi has lifted.
