  • Why Dads Saying 'I'm Sorry' Is SO Powerful | Sadie Rob Huff | for KING & COUNTRY | Rebecca St. James
    Apr 24 2024
Bringing your family's story to the big-screen is something Sadie is all too familiar with and she's delighted to host Joel and Luke Smallbone (for KING & COUNTRY) and their sister Rebecca St. James in the studio for a very special conversation about their new movie, "Unsung Hero." Joel directed and starred in the film — playing his dad! — but he shares why it was so important to not shy away from the hard parts of his dad's story. Sadie points out why seeing a dad say they're "sorry" to their child is so powerful. Rebecca says we should all trust God to redeem our stories, no matter what we've experienced or gone through! And Luke remembers his mom often telling him that learning to overcome disappointment is a good thing, especially true for kids! • I’ve Stopped Wearing My Exhaustion as a Badge of Honor | Sadie Robertson Huff & Jess Connolly
    Apr 17 2024
As Sadie puts it, Jess Connolly is your new "best friend" who is here to encourage us ALL that being a woman in 2024 is exhausting. It is! And it's easy to start wearing the "I'm tired" badge with pride — even, like Jess, thinking we're more godly because of it! — when it's probably the last thing we should be doing. Jess talks about finding herself at her publisher's office pitching a book about being tired when she was as close to complete burnout and a breakdown as she'd ever been. But through doing a deep dive on what "tired" really means — and what God meant when He said, "Come to Me all who are weary" — she discovered a wealth of knowledge about how we navigate exhaustion and WHY we're all so tired (it's not always because we need sleep!). Get your copy of Jess' book, "Tired of Being Tired:" https://www.jessconnolly.com/tiredofbeingtired This episode of Whoa That's Good is sponsored by: https://helixsleep.com/sadie — Get 20% off all mattress orders AND 2 free pillows!
