  • Ask Rachel: How to (really) Build Confidence in Your Kids
    May 15 2026
Can we build confidence in our children? Or is confidence something they have to figure out for themselves? This episode brings us another segment of Ask Rachel, where Rachel answers questions from listeners that have called in. She shares her future vision and dreams for the store at Ala Farms and how to deal with roosters so they don’t ruin your life. Then she answers a really beautiful question on how to build confidence in our children- especially if they are very sensitive. The answer may not be in lifting them up and talking about how perfect they are, but instead being a safe place for them to lean into their insecurities and find their own footing. It’s a fun and open episode that will lift you up and inspire you to love hard and reach for your dreams. • Initiating, Resting and Life as a Side Quest
    May 8 2026
In today’s episode of From the Heart, Rachel shares her process of getting things done and how she stays productive in her daily life. It looks a lot like this: manifesting with the energy of a thousand suns, side questing on the way to another side quest, and then falling apart on the couch with a tub of ice cream once all is said and done. We all have different ways that we generate and create. But it all comes down to how we can rest and recover. Do you know what true rest looks like? Are you depleting yourself more than you’re filling yourself up? This is a fun episode of story-telling (and even some duck poop) that will inspire you to work hard, rest hard, and keep building the life that reflects you. • The Absurdity of the World, Prepping, and Why You Need To Rely On Yourself
    May 1 2026
In today’s episode, Rachel shares many opposing thoughts that we are all thinking right now: the world is absurd, crazy and scary - but the world is also full of so many beautiful things. Everywhere we look there is war, genocide, starvation, and terrifying men in positions of power. But there are also children laughing, flowers blooming, and ducks in Rachel’s house! How can these polarities exist at once? And even more so, how can we find happiness and joy amidst the chaos and uncertainty? Whatever you are doing to take care of yourself right now is beautiful. Whether that looks like small self-care practices or prepping a bunker for the apocalypse (Rachel shares a bit more of her journey here, too!), it all counts. At the end of the day, the only one coming to save you is you. Tune in for an episode that will empower you to remember that you are the one you have been waiting for. I've been listening to this podcast for a little while on other platforms and now that I have it on Audible I'm going to listen to them all over again because I love it so much! Thank you!

It is with a very heavy heart that I am hitting "unfollow" and "unsubscribe" today. For a long time, Rachel Brathen (The Yoga Girl) and her podcast, From the Heart, were my go-to sources for peace. I looked forward to every episode, post, and story. I was deeply drawn to her yoga practice, her nourishing recipes, the glimpses into her family and farm life, and that signature calming voice that felt like a deep breath in a chaotic world.

Unfortunately, the platform has shifted significantly. While everyone has a right to their own opinion, I firmly believe that for a brand built on wellness and tranquility, social platforms and lifestyle podcasts are not the place for intense political discourse. We all have different viewpoints, and in an already polarized world, I turned to this community specifically to find a reprieve from that noise.

Lately, instead of feeling grounded, I leave her Instagram stories and recent episodes feeling a sense of rage and high anxiety. It has become the exact energy I was trying to escape. To maintain my own mental health, I have to step away. The "calm" has been replaced by a tension that no longer aligns with why I started following her in the first place.

I truly hope this review is taken as it is intended: as an invitation to revisit and refocus on the roots of why this platform was created. I miss the old Rachel, and I hope one day the content returns to the light and healing that once defined it. However, it’s hard to stay tuned "From the Heart" when the content now speaks more to the head and the headlines than the soul. Until those priorities shift back, I must say goodbye for the sake of my own well-being.

Truly....from the heart.
