The Sugar Baby Confessionals

By: Sara-Mae Tuson: Writer editor and podcaster
  • Summary

  • Each season we tackle a new story. The Sugar Baby Confessionals is a true story unfolding over two years. What if your best friend – your best, married friend – embraced the sugar baby lifestyle – not by necessity, but by choice? Sara-Mae Tuson’s BFF, Ruby, did just that. Sexy? Scary? Judge for yourself. We follow two years of Ruby's life, so it's important to listen from Episode 1. In the Sugar Baby Confessionals, the girl talk gets candid as Sara-Mae and Ruby talk about love, sex and life as a Sugar Baby.

In this episode, listeners are introduced to Ruby, Sara-Mae's married BFF - a newbie to the sugar baby lifestyle. We learn more about what a sugar baby is, how Ruby got involved, as well as what the terms ‘vanilla’ and ‘hot-wiving’ mean. Ruby gives relationship and sex tips, treating us to a funny story about role-playing with her husband, FP. We meet our first sugar daddy: Mankini.

Music used in this episode (including the theme song, 'Petty Ruiners') comes from the Laish album 'Obituaries', with kind permission from Danny Green, as well as Kristin McClement's album 'The Wild Grips'.

    Feb 26 2018

Talking about sex can be awkward as hell. We discuss ways to ignite your love life, even as a ‘vanilla’ person within a committed, monogamous relationship.

Ruby describes what she does to prepare for her sugar daddy encounters. She also tells us about her sexual renaissance following the birth of her children, and how her new diet (Paleo and Whole30), gives her the energy she needs to satisfy two sugar daddies and FP, as well as running around after her kids.

Sugar daddy update: Ruby’s first date with the Brit.

married with children

Kids don't need to be around the drama and instability, your kids are better off being raised by a raccoon.

Once a pickle, always a pickle

The narrator does a good job trying to remain objective despite a personal relationship with her subject. This series has been an interesting peek into the mind of what may be the most narcissistic, spoiled, smarty-pants prostitute on the planet. Even after being cast off by her John, she further devalues herself and her loved ones by offering herself to him repeatedly. It can't be easy for a husband and children to walk away from someone so self-destructive, but they really need to distance themselves and try to limit furthering the psychological damage caused by Ruby's toxicity. She is so deep in denial she probably still doesn't understand why "the Brit" doesn't take her seriously.
