One of our most anticipated films of the year is finally here! After an amazing trailer and a concept that we fell in love with; we really hoped A Quiet Place would deliver. In our discussion we cover everything from this film’s use of sound, it’s core themes of family and parenthood and how it draws from a wide variety of films such as Interstellar and Don’t Breathe. Also we discuss the first full length trailer for The First Purge and whether it got us excited or not. The Grudge rears its ugly head once again. And one of all our time favourite horror films turns 5!

This is it. The big one. After many outside factors trying to take us down throughout most of December; we are finally here to chat about the year that was 2023. Certainly a year filled with highs and lows. The main event as always is our top ten where we rank and order the best horror films this year had to offer. We then give out our individual awards such as Best Death and see just how much TV dominated this year. And ending the show we have a big announcement regarding the future of this very podcast. With the final show of the year fast approaching we have time to squeeze in this very bizarre film we spoke about on the show many years ago. Once we heard about Sawtooth Jack we knew we wanted to see Dark Harvest and after numerous delays it is finally here. Was Jack worth waiting for? Let’s find out. Elsewhere this week; Thanksgiving and Saw are both getting sequels which makes us happy. Robert Eggers’ Nosfaratu gets dated for next Christmas. And ending the show we give some brief thoughts before our year ender on why 2023 hasn't been the best year for films.
