  • 159 - Allowing Our Feelings & Parenting w/ Janet Lansbury
    Apr 24 2024

Janet Lansbury has helped hundreds of thousands of parents as an educator, best-selling author and podcast host. Her passion for parenting began when motherhood turned out not to be the fulfilling and magical experience she had anticipated. Riddled with anxiety, fear and shame - Janet sought guidance from infant expert Magda Gerber.

We discuss the challenges of parenting with trauma, the importance of just letting our children, and the challenges of acknowledging the dysfunction of our childhoods when your parents were “mostly good.”

A Must Listen

I stumbled across this podcast while looking for something completely different. I have to say, it was fate or a godsend. Andrea not only has introduced me to myself (an Adult Child), but she does it in a way that makes you laugh at yourself and not feel talked down to. I love every episode and am now on my way to learning more about being an Adult Child of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional families.
