  • Summary

  • Want to live ethically? Or organically? How about just sustainably? And without drastically changing your lifestyle or blowing up your bank account? My Green Podcast with Jarvis, Jo, and Katie is the show about accessible, sustainable living. They bring you tips on healthy living and the latest environmental news. They’ll let you know what food and products you can buy that won’t cost the earth – literally or figuratively – and will be joined by special guests who tell us what they do every day to help save the planet. Jo Wood, Katie Hill and Jarvis Smith have been doing the green thing for a long time, it’s part of their lives and business. Being green is easier than most people think. The problem is when we hear things like ‘carbon emissions’ and ‘stopping the temperatures rising by 2 degrees’ its’ difficult for us all to understand how we can make a difference. The good news is we can and if we all do our bit the impact this will have is huge and could solve a crisis in the time frame required. My Green Podcast will simplify the climate change topics and offer simple solutions to current issues. Most people want to change so we can help ourselves the planet and our future generations but most of us don't know where to start. As Jo Katie and Jarvis have been living a sustainable lifestyle for over a decade they will share green nuggets, slippery sideshows and hard core realism you can embed into your lives today. Stopping using plastic is not gonna fix the problem, so what is? Listen in to find out.

  • Switching to Green Pensions: COP28 Special
    Dec 21 2023

Switching to a green pension is the most significant individual thing we can do if we want to fight for a safe and equitable future.

We are in a crisis because the use of fossil fuels around the world is driving up carbon emissions and global temperatures.

We are trying to keep below a 1.5 degree increase in  warming – yet we are already at 1.2. We need to act at fast!

At COP28 nation states committed, for the first time, to a reduction of oil and gas. This is monumental, but as usual we were given no firm timeline or details with the commitment.

We need to do everything we can to be a solution to the biggest issue on the planet – and switching to a greener pension is a great place to start.

Our esteemed expert guests discuss this in detail so you can make up your mind and make the switch.

  • Ep 4 'Sustainable Leaders: People power in the drive to net zero'
    Jun 20 2023

My Green Business Podcast Series hosted by Jarvis Smith and in collaboration with Fujitsu is out now!
Here  our experts discuss People and Purpose in the Workplace. Episode 4

Net zero targets have been set and measurements have been put in place. Now what? For many organisations,
embedding sustainable targets beyond the corporate and management level is proving to be a challenge.
The strength of an organisation depends on its people – every employee has a role to play in supporting their
business to succeed. And the same can be said when comes to achieving net zero.
But with rising temperatures, global weather warnings and an increase in natural disasters, people are feeling
helpless. The climate crisis is overwhelming, so how can organisations support employees so they feel
empowered to drive change and reach decarbonisation targets?

    Jarvis is joined by:
Sarah-Jane Littleford, Head of Responsible Business at Fujitsu
Gerry Lavin – Field Chief Technology Officer EMEA, Cloud Software Group
Clare Martin – Purpose, Climate and DE&I Curriculum Lead at NatWest Group
James Doyle, Head of Operations at Octopus Energy
