    Oct 10 2023
Kory Shore takes commitment to a whole new level, releasing songs every two weeks, with his next single "Daisies" with Jack the Underdog dropping this Friday, October 13th. Inspired by the likes of The Beatles, Emo-Bruno Mars, One Republic, and Lauv, today's friend of the podcast has been processing the chaos of life through his YAMAHA keyboard since he was 9 years old.

We break down his journey through Nashville as a songwriter, with a detour to the LA pop scene as an artist manager, with a return to Nashville in 2018 where he stepped out as a solo artist for the first time. You'll get an amazing juxtaposition of the LA and Nashville pop scenes, a look into the approach of one of the world's greatest music business minds, discuss the importance of creating a safe space for artists to be their true selves, and so much more.

What does it look like to buy a one-way ticket from Winnipeg to Vancouver equipped with only $600 and a dream? Today's friend of the podcast is relentless in his pursuit of music, while ensuring the success is shared throughout the scene.

Inspired by the likes of Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Bullet for My Valentine, and Children of Bodom - he dove into the world of music, making became a staple in the Canadian metalcore scene before his recent crossover into the world of pop punk with Sleep/Less.

In no time they were on tour and their latest EP Bring Back Movie Quote Song Titles led to them sharing the stage with Finger Eleven, Big Wreck, and Our Lady Peace. Be sure to catch them, as they’re on the ascent and you don’t want to get left behind! If you’re in Winnipeg, their next big show is October 9th with Calling All Captains at The Good Will Social Club.

So without further ado, please welcome an enemy of the sun who continues to abstain from the original Star Wars Trilogy - a powerhouse in the making, Brad Wiebe.

What happens when an award-winning, classically trained soprano decides to move to Nashville with the dream modernizing opera and classical music with the more artistic and gritty artists like Freddy Mercury, David Bowie, and Pat Benatar?

Today’s friend of the podcast truly has the most wild journey we’ve been able to highlight to date. Her story is one of grit, perseverance, and unbridled creativity - as jaw-dropping and heart wrenching as it is inspiring.

She started classical piano training at just 5 years old, opera training at 9, and went on to win number one soprano in the state of Texas for Allstate Choir. At just 16 years old she left high school and moved to Nashville to begin writing music and developing herself as an artist. I’m talking the full gamut as well. Not only is she a brilliant vocalist and songwriter, she’s a truly multi-faceted creator - directing music videos for other bands, knitting, designing clothes, painting, and more.

So without further ado, please welcome - fresh off the release of her debut album La Petite Mort - the epitome of tenacity and artistry, founder of The Purple Cult, and  survivor of the Southwest flight 345 crash, Anastasia Elliot.
