2 friends well-versed in music and Prince history
I'm partial to podcasts that are a bit off the cuff and are a dialogue, especially between friends, so this is right up my alley. Jared and Ed are schooling me on Prince's albums; I'm using this podcast as a way to guide me into the Prince catalogue. Their music knowledge also helps me put these albums into context with the era and Prince's contemporaries (a bunch of his albums were released before I was born). Jared and Ed have done their research, have thoughtful responses to the albums: musically, lyrically, and contextually within Prince's rise and domination. Their personal rankings are fun, they have fun joking with and challenging each other, and I feel like I'm hanging out with friends.
