  • 17: ALIGN Career Guiding Program sponsored by Agentur für Arbeit starting April 2022
    Apr 11 2022

You live in Germany and have found it really hard to seek a suitable job?

Then I have good news for you: There's a new 1:1 -Career Guiding Program from MyJob Germany available now.

If you want to get all further information directly in your inbox, don't miss to subscribe to my weekly newsletter.

The new program is called ALIGN -Make your Career and may be suitable for international professionals living in Germany. It can be 100% funded by the German Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit).

If you've heard of the MINT program I ran for a few years for batches in Paderborn, ALIGN is very similar. But still much, much better!

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • How the German Employment Agency supports its job-seeking customers.
    • Why international applicants may get support from the agency even if they have never worked in Germany before
      - Wow the financing with the AVGS voucher works and which criteria have to be fulfilled.
    • What criteria might be applicable to get a voucher for the Career Guiding Program sponsored  and
    • And a disclaimer at the end, just to make plain easy that the Agentur für Arbeit may not be misinterpreted as a 'Charity Organization", it's a federal institution and has its own rules and policy.

  • 15: How to get companies pay for interview travel expenses?
    Mar 28 2022
There are many candidates looking for a job in Germany who are uncomfortable with the issue of travel reimbursement for interviews. Often companies don't say that it's OK to get a train or bus ticket reimbursed. This episode I did as I believe it's important that candidates who have grown up with the rules in Germany, in particular, are confident in exercising their rights.

What you'll learn in the episode:

    • The legal background for reimbursements in Germany
    • When employers don't need to pay
    • Attention to headhunters and other service companies
    • Types of costs that are covered
    • How to claim your reimbursement  (along with the link to a free sample email in German and English)
    • Bonus: Sometimes the Agentur für Arbeit may cover costs

    SHOWNOTES

Get a free sample email/letter to claim refund of interview travel costs:

Download and share the free sample eMail/ letter to claim travel expenses in the blog: www.myjobgermany.com/interview-do-companies-pay-for-travel-expenses/
