  • You Can Build A New Life After Pain
    Jul 6 2026

Life can be brutal, but we’re not powerless inside it. Dr. Taylor Hartman and Cat Larson get real about what it actually takes to stop living from fear and start building a life driven by love, self-worth, and choice. Taylor also shares what’s behind his new book, Fearless, and why the hardest part of healing is often accepting that you’re already “enough” even while you’re still doing the work.

We talk about the question people ask when they’re exhausted by their past: when is it time to move on from trauma? Our answer is simple but not easy: when the energy is gone. Until then, “just move forward” can feel like abandonment. We unpack what it means to peel the onion, layer by layer, until you find the root belief that keeps pulling you back, often the belief that you’re unlovable, undesirable, or permanently damaged. From there we shift into how you create a current reality: new patterns, better boundaries, and decisions that don’t repeat old pain.

We also challenge fear-based thinking that masquerades as wisdom, like refusing to feel joy because disappointment might come next. Using the Stockdale Paradox and the idea of emotional control, we make a clear case for realism over false optimism, and for owning the parts of life we can actually change. If you care about trauma recovery, emotional regulation, mindset, and mental health that feels uplifting, this conversation is for you.

If this helps, subscribe, share it with someone who needs a new path, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What’s one fear you’re ready to replace with love today?

  • Doing Your Work Means Owning Your Motives Even When Nobody Else Does
    Jun 1 2026

“Do your work” can sound like a slogan until you’re staring at a relationship where you’re growing and the other person is not. Taylor Hartman and Cat Larson get specific about what real inner work looks like when you’re tempted to go petty, demand fairness, or wait for someone else to change first. We share client stories that expose a common illusion: believing you’ve earned a pass because you’ve already done some healing, while your life keeps circling the same drain.

We talk compassion for people who won’t take responsibility, and why compassion doesn’t mean tolerating damage. Then we go deeper into spiritual growth, especially forgiveness. If you stay in a marriage while withholding love and respect, you may be “coping,” but you’re not actually aligned. Forgiveness is framed as a practice that frees you from resentment, helps you see differently, and restores legitimacy to how you live, even when the other person may never evolve.

We also connect the dots to comfort zones and the Color Code personality framework. Every personality has strengths to honor and limitations that quietly sabotage mental health, boundaries, and relationships. You’ll hear practical ways to check motives, stop outsourcing your power, speak up in the moment, and listen to what you’ve been refusing to hear.

If this conversation helps you name your next step, subscribe, share it with someone who’s doing the work too, and leave a review. What part of your growth are you avoiding right now?

  • You Can Stop Rehearsing Your Pain And Start Reclaiming Your Life
    May 4 2026

What if the strongest person in the room isn’t the loudest, but the most centered? We open with the spectacle of the Winter Olympics and pivot to the endurance we rarely see: people quietly rebuilding their lives after childhood hurt, learning to stop rehearsing oppression, and choosing legitimacy over comparison.

We share a powerful story of a woman who survived abuse and now struggles with intimacy. Through hypnosis and guided compassion, she meets the younger self she tried to exile—and begins to welcome her back. That choice doesn’t erase the past; it restores agency in the present. From there, we unpack what real strength looks like inside families, like a mother–daughter standoff where power without humility keeps love at arm’s length. You’ll hear the difference between a soul-level presence that can listen and adjust, and the brittle bluster of insecurity that only performs strength.

Together, we map a path to being centered: trust what is true, not just what feels good; notice where comparison and neediness bargain away your voice; and gather mentors who model the skills you want. Change often starts clumsy—assertiveness can sound sharp before it becomes clear—but drafts are part of growth. We also tackle why parts of mental health culture stall progress: comfort without accountability, validation without tools. Healing asks for both compassion and responsibility, for boundaries and repair, for doing the work especially when no one is watching.

If you’re ready to honor your story without letting it own you, this conversation offers practical language, hard-won examples, and the nudge to keep going when the old system pushes back. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs courage today, and leave a review with one insight you’re taking into your own daily practice.
