  • Will Ferrari rue splitting with 'underrated' Sainz in 2025?
    Mar 27 2024
After his sensational victory in Australia, Edd Straw, Glenn Freeman and Scott Mitchell-Malm convene to discuss Carlos Sainz, and in particular why the Spaniard is still underrated by some, and how much Ferrari might come to rue their decision to split with him for 2025 (even with Lewis Hamilton incoming). They also discuss the fallout from the decision to penalise Fernando Alonso's defensive driving in Melbourne, and whether it sets and precedent for the future. And finally, our trio tackle a host of questions from listeners, including whether Mercedes' current plight mirrors that of Williams' fall from grace. Join The Race Members Club. • How Piastri's star is rising as Ricciardo's begins to fade
    Mar 20 2024
Edd Straw is joined by Mark Hughes and Melbourne-based motorsport journalist and podcaster Michael Lamonato to look ahead to this weekend's Australian Grand Prix. They discuss how the event has gone from strength to strength in recent years and take a look at the contrasting fortunes of the nation's home drivers heading into the race. On the one hand you have McLaren's Oscar Piastri, seemingly on the verge of a major breakthrough, and growing in stature back home, and on the other you have RB's Daniel Ricciardo, so long Australia's golden boy, but who currently seems to be fighting to keep his F1 career alive. My Favorite F1 podcast

This is the only F1 podcast I listen to no matter what. They are good about presenting multiple perspectives on events and issues. The hosts come off as genuinely friendly people who would include me in their conversation if I happened by. I really enjoy their banter and opinions. If anything exciting happens in F1, I can’t wait to hear their take.
