Local

I am living in the area that the podcast focused on and I had no clue this was happening. I hope Jennifer’s (and all of the affected families) can find some closure soon. Kevin was just arrested again a couple days ago for the same drug trafficking crimes. It’s weird how he gets right out and other people are in for much longer?? Thankful for the awareness this podcast gave to our area. Great work!!

Worth listen: she was a real young woman

I live in Greater Boston and have never heard the story of Jennifer’s disappearance. The host follows leads and discovers information about Jennifer’s story. Sadly, his work reveals story we are now familiar with - the police assume Jennifer to be a runaway, and with an alcoholic mom, not worth investigating. The little police work done on her case lacks any believability. And following her trail, this investigator finds more.

Worth a listen.

Execution needs work, but it's not bad.

I imagine that creating a podcast, especially an investigative podcast, is a challenging endeavor. That's why I give them a little grace.

I don't remember the main reporter's name, but he vents about interpersonal drama that's not really relevant to the central narrative. His approach is this weird juxtaposition between preaching about his expertise and an amateurish and occasionally concerning level of supposition, naivete, and gossip.

I recognize that not everyone has significant experience with public speaking or audio recording or professional audio production, but I feel that this podcast has a lot of potential and if he worked on cleaning up his production quality and narrative building, this could be one of the best investigative podcasts out there.
