  • Bargain Holidays
    Apr 25 2024
Katherine's Telling Everybody Everything about Bargain Holidays, a new series with Joe Wilkinson premiering on Channel 4 Thursdays at 10pm. Traveling around with Joe trying to find vacation deals was a lot of fun until it wasn't. Also, Katherine wonders whether it's okay to live in Canada, America or other colonised countries....and is it okay to bring a breastfeeding baby to a comedy show? Two ends of the importance spectrum I guess. Plus, Kim vs Taylor, Celine Dion's recovery, Gen Zs are meeting up IRL and your letters on what REALLY happened to that ramen, trophy husbands and leaving a cheater. x

Katherine's Telling Everybody Everything about Nicole Brown-Simpson's killer dying of karma. Hannah Waddingham is obviously a queen but how out of line WAS that photographer who asked her to 'show us some leg' on the Olivier red carpet over the weekend? It's Bobby's birthday on Friday and the Ryan-Kootstra family are headed to the farm. After her trip to Dubai, Katherine is never flying business or first class again. Gypsy Rose Blanchard launches a deeply predictable foray into reality dating show fame, plus your emails on fatherhood, secret sex toys, mum's overseas fling and MUCH (trigger warning - don't listen to it) more. x

Wonderful!

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Katherine is honest, empathetic, real, and hilarious! I enjoy her point of view and the way she tells stories. My favorite episode is probably her birth story episode. Overall- I HIGHLY recommend giving her a listen!

Hilarious

This stinking podcast is hilarious , to the point and most importantly informative. Who knew Nick Cannon had 7 children and going . Love when she reads emails and gives advice. I even have my husband listening to her, we find her super interesting .

like chatting with an childhood friend

I love Katherine's comedy shows; that's how I first came to know of her and her work. I watched a couple of her shows on Netflix and I immediately dug her energy. I love that she didn't pigeonhole herself into the same 3 or 4 topics that a lot of women comedians, unfortunately, have to if they want to get any recognition or airtime. (just an aside, not blaming women comedians for that, but the boy club run comedy clubs, etc). I love that Katherine had the guts to just be herself, and that worked out beautifully for her career. I also love the podcast! I listen to it every week (and notice when Katherine is very busy touring and having babies so she misses a week 😢, but I understand. talent = busy). The podcast is less structured than her standup shows, but that is what makes it so charming; feels like you've called a friend from high school to see what's up with their life. I also believe that she gives mature advice to those who write into the show via her email. she is empathetic but not so much that she doesn't make her point with the writer who is inquiring about what to do. I also LOVE when we get a little segment with Bobby K. or Violet. Those two are also quite clever! And just based on the way Violet speaks and the advice she gives to those who write it (when deemed age-appropriate by Katherine) always BLOWS MY MIND. Violet is a pre-teen and probably more emotionally mature than most of the 25-year-olds I know. She is a funny, respectful, and quick-witted girl, and honestly, I am proud of Katherine for having raised such a lovely young woman!

TL;DR: If you are a woman, give it a chance! You will love her and she will feel like a close friend. If you are a man, give it a CHANCE! you will love her AND wish you had wifed her up before Bobby K. swooped back in.
