  • Ep.175: I Used To Like 'Batman Forever'.
    May 3 2024

In an attempt at some father/son bonding, Shawn has given both his usual co-hosts a month off. In their place, Shawn's son, and past guest Kris Wells, steps into the role as we dive into some movie featuring Daddy Issues. And what better to scar a child than witnessing your parents murdered in front of you like our heroes in this week's film 'Batman Forever'. This is a long one. In fact, our longest to date. Clearly, I haven't spoken enough to my son since he moved out because we get off on some wild tangents. But it's a lot of fun. What did we think, especially after praising 'Batman & Robin' so highly in a previous episode? Can this be viewed with the same lens? Tune in to find out!

  • Ep.174: I Used To Like 'The City Of Lost Children'.
    Apr 26 2024

It's time for our Strange Imports Month vacation to come to an end. Shawn and Aaron have one final stop in France, where it's about to get really weird with 'The City Of Lost Children'. I'll be honest... There's a good chance you've never heard of or seen this movie. It's very niche. Not only is it foreign, but it's also just a very surreal, bizarre film. Much like 'Zebraman' in episode 172, this is another one where "If you know you know". But if you know and like weird films like 'Brazil' or 'Dark City' (spoiler alert of our episode) we would both recommend this. It's worth it. Try something new tonight. Go watch Ron Pearlman speak French. Whoa... weren't seeing that twist coming, were you? Go watch this film, then come listen to us blab.

  • Ep.173: I Used To Like 'The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert'.
    Apr 19 2024

Our world trip Strange Imports Month continues. Shawn and Aaron go from Japan to Australia, because it's time for an Outback roadtrip. The original drag race, the 90s Pride-filled, long-titled cult classic 'The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert'. 3 legendary actors and one lavender colored bus, with an epic soundtrack and fabulous outfits... need I say more?!? Okay, I will because I'm also gonna remind say "Pung Ping balls" and leave it at that. If you know, you know. How does it hold up after 30 years? Tune in to find out!
