  • It’s All Gonna Be Okay (Series Finale)
    Dec 1 2023
Well they say all rotten things must come to an end. In this final episode, I have a laid back conversation with my friend, the Pastor of Pump himself, Danny Prada. We talk about our respective journeys, how we have grown as individuals, how DRCK has impacted our lives, and how we feel as it all comes to a close. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for so many wonderful moments. I feel honored to have created this show and thrilled by what it has meant to so many Bad Apples like me. Keep up the Dirty Work. And remember, It’s all gonna be okay. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • What I Wish I Knew About Deconstruction
    Nov 10 2023
On this, second to last DRCK episode, I had the privilege of hanging out with my friend Janice (God Has Not Given! Bad Words! General Menace!) , and new friend Tim (The New Evangelicals!). We discuss the things we would go back and tell ourselves about our personal deconstruction journeys– the good, the bad, the dogmatic. We also discuss platform culture, how we feel about worship music, and play a game of Youth Group or Boy Band. Brought to you by BoyZone Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Ever Becoming with Dr. Roberto Che Espinoza
    May 17 2023
This week I had the privilege of chatting with friend of the show and friend of mine, theologian and author Dr. Roberto Che Espinoza (Body Becoming! Activist Theology!). We have a laid back conversation about rest, embodiment, finding the third way and taking time to dream about the world we wish to see. I also go on a mild rant about being funemployed and the shit show that is the current job market.  TIMESTAMPS: Interview - 10:24 Post Interview - 47:44 Sip, Smoke, Read - 59:45 LINKS: Donate to the Activist Theology Project. Very vindicating

If you suffer from or are recovering from religious trauma, pull up a chair. I have worked through so much of the gaslighting from my youth. These guys have made a huge difference in how I think about myself and others.

For those that went to church in the late 90s up

So glad I found this during covid when I was trying to figure out what my faith meant and how to leave my church.
each episode reminds me I am not alone and here are a lot of us healing from religious trauma. These guys talk about it in a relatable way and they make me laugh.
