Humanly

By: Paula Kusinska
  • Summary

  • Podcast about the extraordinary ideas and ordinary people. Stories that we tell ourselves to make sense of the world around us. Isn’t that precisely what makes us human? My name is Paula, and I’m a renaissance soul. I’m passionate about concepts but most importantly how they evolve when shared with other people. If you’re into personal development, language, psychology, technology, business or good-old gossip, you’re in the right spot. You’ll hear about what I learn daily through books, people, experiences in a series of solo episodes and interviews. Glad to have you here - fellow human!

  • 30. It was never about podcasting - how to launch your passion projects cringe-free with Paula
    Apr 26 2024

    Hello Creators,

This month marks 3rd anniversary of my very first episode so I'd love to celebrate with you and share a few tips on how to start any passion project.

What did I learn after 3 years of podcasting?

It’s not only about where the new skill takes you but rather what adventure it takes you on. What are you learning along the way about the process of creation.

Constraints let you focus on the art of doing instead of worrying about the embellishment. Start simple, don’t fall into gear choice paralysis.

Don’t kill the project before it turns into something tangible. Commit to it without time pressures and let it unfold naturally. It might take you to interesting places even if you don’t arrive at the destination you had in mind.

Improv your way into solocasts. Outline is there to ground you into the topic but don’t let it overpower your message. Trust you are always prepared.

Finally, Remember - sometimes the reason why you even started was to learn something about yourself. And maybe it wasn’t all about podcasting after all.

  • 29. Language as vehicle of meaning - what parts of you emerge in foreign language?
    Mar 8 2024

    Hi creators,

As a polyglot, I have a fond relationship with language. It's alive, it evolves, it reflects culture.

Over the years, with each new language I mastered, I experienced different facets of me emerge. At times expanding, other days contracting depending on the linguistic container.

Above all, learning a foreign language allows you to live life more than once having access to a wider pool of meaning and non-obvious points of view.

In my newest podcast episode, I'll take you on a journey where I share how I experienced self-expression through various languages (Polish, English, French, Turkish, Japanese) and how the linguistic component truly reflects the cultural pool of meaning.
