  • Summary

  • Mike Archer is a newly appointed fire watcher in the Wyoming woods. While he's never done anything like this before, he needed something new after his mom passed. Now he hopes to spend his days in a tower above the trees looking for fires and working on his new book. But things aren't as quiet and peaceful as he hoped. Strange interference blasts over his radio at night and he starts seeing and hearing creepy noises in the woods. But are these odd occurrences actually happening or is he just going stir crazy?

Great!

I love this podcast I found it on apple podcasts in school one day and have been obsessed with the story, everything is great! my only complaint is that you only post one episode a month I wish it was 2 a month so I remember what was happening.

An excellent fiction sci-fi podcast!

It was a really cool mystery! It’s the type of podcast that I always want to binge listen. The audio wasn’t superb but it’s definitely not bad.

Any More Episodes???

Are there going to be any more episodes soon? Please don't give us the "sorry we ran out of funds " excuse because there were enough ads in this podcast to make me want to jump off a cliff!! That's why overall only gets a 4 rating. I am definitely Team Mike as far as Amber goes. Give us the rest of season 3 soon!

Really good

Finally an audio drama I enjoyed as much as We’re Alive. The voice actor playing Mike is great and the writer of the series has hit on something special with this story… truly suspenseful, creepy & entertaining. Author’s REALLY good at this genre. Wish each season was available with all episodes together and no ads or talking outside of the narrative . Despite that each season would be shorter than most audiobook, the seriously well executed production and story-line totally justify the value of an Audible credit to have a listening option that lets you stay immersed in the drama. The interruptions are as annoying as Amber’s short-wave radio persona. (Props to the actress who plays her for deciding to portray in-person Amber as much more subdued. Before that episode I always felt the character Amber presented as “off” and wasn’t sure why - sometimes I thought she was just a weak link in the writing - poor character development or bad portrayal. Until the next episode when I’d flip back to believing the actress and writer 100% deliberately made Amber’s personality questionably phony & way annoying because she was obviously the nefarious lying villain masterminding everything! Until the SE10 which radically shifted my view on why her character seems so off and her radio interactions with Mike so often colored by completely unjustified girlfriend-like expectations & demands for his behavior (and time). Amber had to get her emotional ya-ya’s out and being “radio Amber” with Mike was a way to do it. Poor Mike tho
