    Jul 2 2026

In this episode, Gaelle talks about Marjane Satrapi, an Iranian-French artist who died in June 2026, at the age of 57. Her professional career and personal life both deserve some praise as she was a strong female voice fighting against a tyrannic regime.

  • Les espaces sans enfants en France
    Jun 18 2026

In this episode, Gaelle talks about the trend of “no-kids” spaces in France. It all started when the national train company offered new premium seats in coaches where children under 12 were not allowed. That sparked a fierce debate on the internet and national TV about the appropriateness of such places, where children were banned.

I have tried several podcasts in French. This is my favorite by far. The stories are interesting and the fact the speaker speaks a little slower is super helpful. Well done!

I had a lot of trouble finding a French podcast that was not too advanced nor too elementary -- just right (aspiring intermediate)! Gaelle speaks clearly and at the perfect pace, with an uncanny sense of when she needs to break in with a clarifying word or two in English. Also her topics are interesting and well thought-out; I really enjoyed her latest series on French cities outside of Paris. (Strasbourg, peut-etre?) Congratulations, Gaelle, and keep it going!
