Publisher's summary

Desperate to stop her PI business from going belly-up, Verity Hawkes doesn’t hesitate to dive into the next case she finds: a body in a septic tank. But just when she thinks her investigation couldn’t get any more peculiar, she’s shocked to learn the accused perp is the town’s beloved billy goat.

Verity must juggle her meddling aunt, a surly former soldier, and a tuxedo-wearing cat to sanitize this baffling homicide. But when the investigation takes a sinister turn, she suspects darker forces are at work. Doubt on a Limb is the riotous eighth book in The Leafy Hollow Mysteries series.

Why can't the police investigate?

This is the third in The Leafy Hollow Mystery series. I listened to the book. The narrator is very good.
Aunt Adeline is still missing. Lucy, a book club member is found at the bottom of a cliff. Did she jump, was she pushed? Verity doesn’t want to investigate by Emy, her BFF, twists her arm. Emy’s mother is the main suspect.

There is a lot going on with the birder, the black widow murder that has been recently released from prison, Verity and Jeff Katsumoro (the detective) interactions, Lucy’s past, and the new restaurant owner.

I had a great time listening to this story as I walked.

A cute cozy mystery with a goat as the prime suspect

Doubt on a Limb is a cute cozy mystery in the Leafy Hollow Series in which Verity is hired to clear a goat accused of killing a man.

The audiobook narrator does a great job bringing the series to life with her lively reading.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
