Why just why

So I've gotten into this book series, but it has so many annoyances. Why do I have to spend 4 dollars for each book that is 2 hrs long. Each book only gives you glimpses before you have to get the next book. There are over 20 books! Not worth my money. Especially after seeing over half the book aren't available. Also, what's up with the prologs. It's literally just the narrator saying " chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3, chapter 4..... Please bundle the books and make the rest available. It really makes me not want to continue the series. It's a great concept in the story, but given in a way, many readers will just pass by and miss out.

it would be nice if the description had said that this wasn't the end of the series. I hate cliffhangers, esp when I can't buy the next book to finish. I like this story. I would like to finish it.
