Check Mate!

This was probably by far the best out of the 1st 3 books. Marist was doing a lot of stupid stuff making stupid decisions, being very naive like always. But I got to hand it to her, she knew what she was doing she had a plan in the end. she's definitely definitely is a Hale. And the way that the book ended did not even see coming like the last 2 books with the clif hangers was seriously oh my god. But this ending Was HOLY CRAP! I honestly did not know what I was actually gonna enjoy the series after reading the 1st book and how the 1st book ended but I'm so glad that I did Because in the end it had a terrific ending. Savannah peachwood did a wonderful job in narrating all 3 books even trying to narrate the males parts in the book.

Interesting & Hot

Lots of intrigue! And hot scenes- never know where the story is going! Looking forward to listening to book 4!

I love the transitions

Written well. You feel the angst. You connected the thought process. Easy to delve into the book and feel involved. I love the characters progressions and the mythical gods undertone.

Fitting Title

This one was the best, the title was truly fitting. I thought in all 3 books Marist was too naive but at the same time it gave her a slight advantage, the intense rivalry between Royce and his father. McAlister took playing chess to a whole different level of twisted competition. The entire Hale family was twisted in their wanting to win at all cost. I liked how mythological characters was used throughout the story. His obsession with Marist weakened him and allowed the ultimate “deception” Medusa defeated Menator. Great series and I love Savannah Peachwood narration.

Dark compelling

Recommend this as a trilogy.
All three stories are a must.

Makes one wonder how close-to-the truth this story could be.

First off, I must say I’m not happy w/ Royce’s character. He is a coward. Macalister might be messed up but he never lied. I admire the main character her intensions are good. She was selfless throughout and I respect that about her. All other characters I found lacking. I felt like the antagonist and the protagonist had more chemistry. Just saying.

Loved this series

It was intense with the relationship between her, her husband and father in law. The ending was satisfying.

WOW

This series is so hot and so wild! I had no idea what twists and turns it would take over the first 3 books but the end of this book was so satisfying.

What a climax!

The end game of this story has me mind blown. I had my concerns about Marist but how much she redeemed herself and power. She came out on top as Medusa.
