Loyalty to the law, or loyalty to the people?

Adralis Vas Karath believes in a future for all the downtrodden. He’s lived his life as a monk, serving the poorest of the poor every day.

The problem: he’s also an undercover agent for a hidden empire, waiting to strike upon the surface world. He is sworn to obey the orders of his superiors without question.

When asked to serve the Empire, will Adralis follow through with his task?

There's more than one way to shatter a world.

This is the seventh book I have read/listened to by this author and I would like to listen to book four in this series. Each story is different but this is my favourite. Quite the moral dilemma posed here. ———

This is the third book I have listened to by this narrator ( Michael Westmoreland ) and I would listen to another. I think this is his best narration out of the first three Shattering Worlds books. He uses accents to great effect and has good diction and pacing. ———

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive / overly descriptive violence, or swearing that I recall. ———

Another twisty SciFi story from Tavenor that is short but "packed" with intrigue, action, and an ending that makes you think...

Gotcha SciFi

This is the third short story in the Tales of Shattering World Series, and they are getting better and better. Great twist at the end!

Once again, I thought that both the author, C. D. Tavenor, and narrator, Michael Westmoreland did a great job.

Good Story! I guess this guy is a demon of something like it. He tries to help people in the story. In the end it seems he is the only one who wishes to keep humans alive. The group he tried to save are killed and he is put on trial for treason. He explains his reasoning but still gets hard time. The story is different from any other but I have come to expect that from C.D. Tavenor. The narrator did a good job with the story.
I received an advanced reader copy for an honest review.
