Publisher's summary

I need to protect her from the dangers of the world…and herself.

Lila is my destined mate. I know it the moment I see her. Wanting her isn’t enough. My inner dragon demands that I keep her safe. Even from herself.

The disease she lives with is tearing her apart, making her suffer. She suffers incredible torment. Why keep suffering when my claiming bite could heal her?

But illness isn’t the only trouble. Threatening notes. Stalking. Danger to my mate and her daughter. I won’t let anyone touch them. Whatever it takes to keep them from harm, it’s done.

Lila wants me to see beyond her illness. I do. I want every part of her. She’s mine and it has nothing to do with making her whole. How can I convince her to accept my bite?

In Dragons for Hire, the dragons are smoking hot and ready to claim their mates. The Dragon’s Healing Touch features one stubborn woman in peril and the dragon who’s going to convince her she’s everything he’s ever wanted.

Nicely done!

Great story line. I really like Lila and Leaf and how they grow in this story. I was glad Sam was a part of this story as well. He was my favorite character from the first book. The ending was a surprise that has me waiting to read the next book in the series. The narrators do a great job telling the story.

The Story was Fun

Title: The Dragon's Healing Touch
Author: Sadie Sears
Format: Audio
Narrator: Amy Deuchler
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Shifter (Dragon), Fated Mates, Military, Romantic Suspense, Bodyguard, Single Mom
Standalone: Yes although the last chapter leads into the next book
Part of a Series: Book 2 of Dragons for Hire
POV: Leath and Lila
3.5/5

The Dragon's Healing Touch is a fun paranormal romance with mystery. The Dragon's Healing Touch is the second book in the Dragon's for Hire series. And, while events from the first are referenced, it is not integral for the story. The best part of this book was the story. I liked the mix of mystery and paranormal. I did not like the characters - especially Lila. Her independent and stubborn nature just comes off as b-hy.

The narrator was okay. Not great. Her deeper male voice was jarring at first but I did like how she was able to integrate both voices in the conversations.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Pretty good

This was enjoyable, fairly light hearted but some darker moments with dealing with health problems and stalkers. Loved Leath’s sarcasm and inner thoughts and the banter between the male dragon family. The daughter was cute. The narrator is one of my favorites.

It could be heard as standalone

I didn't expect to get a new narrator but this time we have Amy Deuchler, and I kind of like that change. This is Leath and Lila's story, it could be read as a standalone even though it's a series. I liked Leath way more than Lila, the story went in a different direction from what I expected so that gets me going. The world-building is good and I liked it, the steamy scenes are good for a shifter story.

Great narrative

Lila is a single mom who suffered from MS. Leath is a dragon shifter who's ex military and has a company with his clan called Dragons for Hire. They meet when Lila us being stalked and needs protection. Well fate has a funny way of coming, she's leath destined mate. How will Lila react to being his destined mate?  Can leath keep her safe? Will there be a HEA?
