I have to say first that Ryan is so freaking HOT!!!!

KF did another amazing job with this book. I was in love with this book from the beginning, and all the way to the end.

Ryan and Kendall have such an amazing connection that is caught on the pages. I could actually see it all play out while I was reading.
The scenes are so well written and makes you want more. The steam in this book if off the charts!!!
Being stranded in a cabin with your best friend's brother that is hot and you have an attraction to is not the worse thing that could happen. But the struggle that they go through to get to know how the other feels tugs at your heartstrings.

This book will keep you captured and you won't be able to put it down. I wanted more of them!!

Narration was PERFECT!!

I absolutely loved this story! This can be read as a standalone but if you have read the first book in the series than you will recognize both characters from there. I loved getting to know Kendall and Ryan better! Ryan has been a bit of a grumpy jerk since the pandemic. He doesn't mean to be but he is still trying to process and deal with being a doctor during the pandemic and losing all of the patients and colleagues that he did during that time. He is dealing with some PTSD that he is fulling dealing with. Kendall and Ryan are heading to the cabin to set it up for her best friend and Ryan's sister Cami and Ryan's best friend Eli's honeymoon. On the way there they end up in a major snowstorm and make it to the cabin but are become stranded there. These two might be drawn to each other and feel the chemistry between them but neither realizes the other one really feels the same as they have been denying that there could truly be something there. The forced close quarters cause them to actually get to know each other as adults and on a deeper level. It also means that those feelings come closer to the surface and are harder to deny. I loved seeing them get to know each other and build that relationship. Neither knows if anything will happen beyond the cabin and of course as feelings deepen they have no idea that the other one feels the same. They have to work through their insecurities and figure out what they want and what they are willing to risk in order to get it. I loved the tease with Kendall's sister and can't wait for that story!
I listened to the audio version and absolutely loved the narrators. They did a fantastic job with the voices and emotions and adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the second book of four in the Love in Isolation Series, a brother’s best friend romance. This is a series of interconnected stories, and intertwined characters. I loved Ryan and Kendall’s story! Their slow burn romance is sweet and heartwarming. They are opposites attract, but they complement each other. Tor Thom and Emma Wilder did a fantastic job with the narration. I love this Series and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to listen to The End of Us, the next book in the Series.

Book 2 of the series but stands completely alone. I haven't read the first book, but feel like if I had, I probably would have gotten some extra satisfaction from the characters appearing, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this story.

Ryan have been tasked with helping Kendall set up the family's remote cabin as a Christmas wonderland in preparation for his sister's honeymoon. Kendall wants everything to be perfect for her best friend and is even willing to put up with her bestie's work-a-holic grump of a brother who gets on her nerves like no one else.

Unfortunately for Kendall and Ryan, they have inadvertently timed their trip to coincide with the worst snowstorm in who knows how long. They end up snowed in for almost 2 weeks and for some of it there was no power. They have to face the animosity between them before they can find a way to survive without going insane.

And then after finding a good routine and sense of comfort, they have to leave their bubble and go back to their everyday lives. Can it be done? Will things change now that they've connected physically and emotionally? or will it all fall apart?

The audiobook was narrated by Tor Thom & Emma Wilder. I loved Emma's performance in this. Kendall is such a caring person but she doesn't expose her soft side to everyone. Emma brings me some wonderful light moments and some emotional depth for Kendall that just make me happy to be along for the ride. Tor was great as gruff and grumpy Ryan. He's been there and seen a lot of stuff over the last year with the worldwide health crisis. But now that he's forced to slow down and step away, maybe that will help him heal a little from the strain of living life at 100 for so long. Help him to find the real priorities he should be focused on.

I requested and was provided with a copy of the audiobook. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

Best way to spend a snow storm

Loved it. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Kept me interested till the end. Did not want it to end. Enjoyed seeing how Ryan and Kendall's love story played out. Love how Kennedy Fox brings in the characters from the prior book and gets you interested in the next book in the series.
