Life at sea isn't always tranquil.
Anchored off a small uninhabited cay in the Bahamas, Chase witnesses another boat being boarded. Before he can react, the skipper of the other vessel is kidnapped.
Chase rushes over to find the skipper's teenaged daughter hiding in a locker.
When one of the kidnappers returns, Chase finds himself protecting the girl at all costs.
Can he find the girl's father and stop the men looking for her?

A busy 2nd book

As i said in.my review of the first book the author carries on a wonderful Florida tradition of the white knight, in slightly battered armor working for individual justice. I enjoyed the author homage to John D. Macdonald. I am 72 and still remember my dad turning me on to the Travis Mcgee books when I was in high school. As I listened to the story and the Bahia-Mar marina, was mentioned I smiled. The author actually had a meeting of his main character and Travis which I also enjoyed. Of course no reference to name of Travis but if read the books as many times as I have their is no mistaking the reference. The Author also uses some of John D Macdonald style by making his stories a ongoing sequence of the main characters life. The other thing that John D Macdonald did was add plenty of historic reference of current events in his stories. The author of this book does the same thing,so far. I enjoyed the second book and I am enjoying the third. I would encourage young fans of this series to read John D Macdonald as well.
a great second book and wonderful narration
