First note that the Domestic Violence is not denoted, only efforts to empower the battered.
Stacie has been married for ten years and is nearing the end of divorce proceedings because of husband's infidelities. His sister is the battered woman who is scandal averse while the brother tries to advocate. Stacie only finds out how little she knows about her husband after he is murdered and she is flabbergasted as she tries her best to help the detectives (especially after she felt re-assured that she was no longer the chief suspect). Thankfully, she has a lot of friends to help her, a very concerned papa from another state, and a recent acquaintance turns out to be a patrolman. The rich certainly are different! Good world building and fine characterizations along with excellent sleuthing (even if she does faint a time or two). Looking forward to the next in series!
The voice artist is Naomi Rose-Mock who flawlessly delineates characters, emotions, and attitudes.

Fun and interesting story

Can’t wait for the second book. Best narration I’ve heard in a long time. The ending took me totally by surprise.

A great start to the series

When Stacie’s soon to be ex-husband is murdered, of course Stacie is the primary suspect. As things start to unfold, there’s so much more going on than just a murder investigation. Is someone coming after Stacie next?

I really enjoyed this story by Christa Nardi. There’s a great storyline with interesting characters. I love how I was kept guessing until the very end.

The story came alive with the narration by Naomi Rose-Mock. I’d gladly listen to more of her performances.

Cozy Mystery!

This was my first Christa Nardi’s book, and won’t be my last. This is the first book in the Stacie Maroni Mystery Series. This is a great cozy mystery, fast paced, with interesting characters and a well crafted plot. The storyline has mystery, and twists and turns. Naomi Rose-Mock did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Enjoyable Cozy

Prestige, Privilege and Murder is Book 1 in A Stacie Maroni Mystery by Christa Nardi. Stacie and her husband, Ted, are divorcing and fighting over their dog, Jasper. When Ted turns up murdered, Stacie is the top suspect. I felt this story gave me a strong foundation for the new series. I thought the characters were well written and believable. Prestige, Privilege and Murder was interesting from beginning to end. I am looking forward to listening book 2, Foundations, Funny Business and Murder. Naomi rose knock dies a nice performance II n narration.

GREAT BOOK

This was a great book. Christa Nardi is a great author. Her book will hold your attention. Can't wait to read the next.

Fantastic Mystery, I Loved It!!!

Prestige, Privilege & Murder is a dynamic, delightful, fast moving mystery that can be enjoyed with or without headphones, alone or with a roomful of your mystery loving besties! Written with heaping handfuls of humor, action and intrigue, the plot is not only interesting, it’s engaging, timeless and throughly enjoyable! The characters are fantastic! Beautifully drawn, realistic, fully developed and like people we ALL know, some nice, some not, and some downright despicable! The narration is fabulous and truly allows the story and characters to come alive! I throughly enjoyed every moment. Oh and did I guess the real culprit? Nope. I had MY suspects, but alas, I won’t be quitting MY day job! I leave the detecting to Christa Nardi, who does it SO well! Five fabulous stars!
