In the 27 years that Kurt Cobain walked this earth, he crafted the songs and the narrative that would become the anthem of a generation. Yet, it was never anything that Cobain set to do deliberately; if anything, he could be called an accidental genius. Cobain’s approach to art as well as life was one flowing stream of consciousness. He never set out to change a generation when he wrote songs like “Smells Like Teen Spirit” or “Come as You Are". He simply played music, letting his subconscious mind run wild as he wrote vague yet piercingly memorable lyrics. Still, Kurt Cobain most certainly did change the world, and even decades later, his words resonate with incredible clarity. Here in this book, you will find the story of his life and his tragic death in full.

For those who are not familiar with the story of Kurt Cobain, this is a nicely narrated version to familiarize yourself. Part of the "Hourly History" series, it's an hour-long and touches on many key moments of Kurt Cobain's life. Hardcore fans may not take away many things they don't already know, however, it's still worth listening to at least once. I enjoyed the way it was written and the narrated audio performance itself.

Looking back, there's so much missing in this book. You should make a contemporary sequel. Thank you for being detailed in history. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't know or ever heard of Kurt Cobain or Nirvana. Thank you.

murdered it, pun intended

Was this written by his abusive father? What in the condescending garbage did I just listen to? Blaming and criticizing someone’s behavior while enduring the level of abuse he was raised with is crazy tone deaf. The author’s ignorance about trauma and lack of sensitivity were disturbing.

The audacity
