Excellent conclusion to series

I have LOVED this series by Sophie Lark. The first, second, and last have been my favorites, although they all have been wonderful!! I have now read and listened to this book.

Seb and Yelena had a really great story. My heart went out to her. I got a bit angry at Seb. He showed strength though. Yelena showed us that she is a strong and decisive woman. A perfect match for who they are to become. The division within the families is heartbreaking. I have mixed feelings regarding Dante's actions. I don't want to give anything away so I'll stop there. There is the Russian's Winter Diamond that I'm curious about. Are they still looking for it? This is definitely a good standalone, but the depth is so much more by reading all the books. I've read them out of order and it works, but.... As a fan, seeing characters from previous books makes me squeal in delight! I loved how this ended. I cannot wait for the next series. Sophie's play list is great. Check it out as well! *I read this book through the Kindle Unlimited program.

Kat Auden and Michael Gallagher were amazing narrators. My absolute favorites of this series. (That's saying a lot since I really liked them all.) There was so much passion and emotion in the performances. I WILL be listening to this again. Actually, I'm wanting to start the series from the beginning and listen straight through!

what an ending!

love Sebastian in the earlier books and glad to get closure on his story! I listened to this book after book 1 and 2 and am definitely going to finish up with books 3, 4, and 5. love sophie lark's development of the story and characters. narration is excellent!

Dark Mafia Romance

Heavy Crown by Sophie Lark is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michael Gallagher and Kat Auden. This is the sixth and final book in the Brutal Birthright series and each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Sophie’s books! Shed did an amazing job wrapping up the series. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Sebastian and Yelena. I loved getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Michael and Kat did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you like mafia romances, dark romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

An amazing end to a brilliant series.

I didn't expect this ending and was completely blown away.

Definitely recommend listening to this one in the series order for maximum enjoyment

The characters were real and relatable and the storyline was engaging!!

A Fantastic Finale

This book was an amazing ending to an incredible series. The one thing about Sophie’s books is that you don’t just get to read about sexy, alpha males and feisty, strong females, but you get a history lesson as well. I feel like I learned so much about the different mafia groups than any other book, which has always kept my interest. It was an adrenaline rush reading about all of the different alliances and how those things worked between them all.

I still think Callum and Aida are my favorite. I’m not sure if it’s because that was my first Sophie book, or because I enjoyed Aida so much. Their story was hilarious, as this one broke my heart. I have always liked Sebastian from first learning about him in Brutal Prince. He was the one who was not the killer, or wanted anything to do with the mob scene, yet it seemed like life just threw him lemons. He does meet and fall in love with beautiful Yelena, although she’s the enemies’ daughter. It’s a real life Romeo and Juliet story, with the exception of a happier ending (sort of).

I am sad to see this series end, but Sophie has set the stage for the next series in which we get to read about the lives of the children of our favorite characters. I can hardly wait!!
