Mike Read has a truly majestic voice, so his performance augments this magical poem. The preponderance of the production is an interview about the history of the poem, author Clement Moore, the origin of Christmas traditions, how Read and the interviewer celebrate Christmas, and their thoughts on contemporary Christmas observances. I bought it during a Cyber Monday sale, which is good, since it’s a very short poem for the price.
