Henry van Dyke
An audiobook dramatization of the heartwarming classic Christmas story!
This is the story of John Weightman, who has carefully and responsibly accumulated material wealth.
Indeed, he has built a respectable name and a respectable mansion here on Earth.
But what has he built in heaven?
Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions”. In this story, Henry van Dyke invites us to go along with John Weightman to see what the mansions look like in heaven, and who shall inherit them.
Praise for Henry van Dyke and The Mansion:
“Every Christmas I read The Mansion by Henry van Dyke. Its message always touches my heart.” (Thomas S. Monson, former president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)
"So beautiful, so true, so full of the Christmas spirit."(Harper's New Monthly Magazine)
"An architect of happiness." (Helen Keller)
"This is a feel-good audiobook that reminds me of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens." (Leslie Anne)

The character voices and the music really enhance the story, especially the climax.
Hopefully it will change your soul as it did mine.
A universally spiritual yet personal experience.
Henry van Dyke was inspired.

If you are familiar with this story, I will say as other reviewers have said, it starts out slow. A lot of description and background on the nature or character of John Weightman. But it's necessary to understand the "man of the world" before he has an Ebeneezer Scrooge experience.
And what a powerful ending. I sat in reverence for awhile, not wanting to break the spiritual feeling I was experiencing.
The subtle use of music was enchanting and powerful.
And to think that this was a labor of love from an audio producer and his family.
Very professional all considered and worth supporting!
Good recording and a labor of love, life-changing

Apparently the narrator did this as a labor of love with his own family as a supporting cast.
Very nice musical touches.
Well done indeed!
The story is IMPACTFUL and brought to life
