This is Leslie's second week and it's being spent mated to Tristan, the leader of the Fae. Leslie is a little more emotional in this time around and is finding out that her trial is going to be harder than what she thought also she’s constantly finding out things she wished she hadn't.

Slower to Get Through, but Worth It

This book is about Leslie's trial with the Fae, Tristan. For some reason, this was the hardest book in the series for me to get through. It seems like a lot of people enjoy this one, but maybe the Fae people just aren't as engaging to me as vampires or werewolves.

I don't think that this preference of mine is anyone's fault. The story writing was still great, and so was the narration. I'm not going to remove stars just for my own personal preferences.

I wanted to put my review out there in case there's prospective readers who encounter the same thing. Personally, I absolutely loved the first book and the third one. So, if this one is less interesting to some readers, I think it's still worth getting to the next book. I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole.

emotional

I previously read this series and I'm dying as I listen to it and already know the ending. I'm even more invested in the story and characters if you can understand that. Desperate times make people do some very desperate things. I'm cringing!! Leslie's altruism ( after what was done to her) is unfathomable!!! The story is bittersweet and had me crying as I listened to some of it. The storyline and character are compelling and captivating, and I loved it all except for the losses. The emotional overload with highs and lows are intense. I can't wait for the next book to listen to. The world building is phenomenal. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I highly recommend this series.

EnThralling!

Mysteries deepen and shocks abound as a bewildered Leslie moves onto the second Trial with Tristian the Fae Leader! Handsome, witty, Tristian. He’s hiding something, or a few something’s! What could it be. I am enjoying every minute as Lizzy Ford continues to draw me into a new world filled with multi-dimensional characters, magic, and supernatural beings in book two of this delightful series. Her writing and scene setting are so clear that I easily understand the “who’s” and “why’s”, and her dialogue so realistic, so entertaining, that I am held enthralled throughout! And the characters! I really love her characters. They are so well developed, so well introduced and explained! I feel very well acquainted with them and yes, I absolutely have a favorite and no, I’m not telling who, at least not yet! Then there is the performance that brings this book to life! Amazing! So pure, so heartfelt, so emotional and so perfect! When narration is this good it truly makes listening an absolute pleasure! On the whole this one was a world class five star experience! I can’t wait for the next book!

Emotional and Enthralling!

This is the second book in the Trial series, a Paranormal Romance. The story continues where the first book left off. Leslie is an amazing character. Her quest is breathtaking. Tristan is a complex and enigmatic character. They share a sizzling chemistry. The storyline is sexy, emotional, and enthralling. The world building is original and intriguing. Lillian Yves and Vincent Lee Grayson did an amazing job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Trial by Blood, the next book in the series.
