Great stories, could use a good editor

I really enjoy this series, great overall story arc. But some editing is in order. I only need to hear the same whiny speeches about "filthy magic" so often. Or to hear Ingrid threaten Viggo with a black eye... And someone can only look "so innocent they've never so much as broken a plate" so many times before it starts to grind.

Mix it up a bit more. Less repetition. Let the characters grow and mature beyond the same tired dialogue. Please!

What a lovely and interesting audiobook series don't take my word for it come on follow me to another world of joyful happenings.

Not as good as the others

This book isn’t as good as some of the other ones in this series. It’s lacking in magic. I really disliked that it follows Egal so much.

Love them all. Still haven’t gotten bored yet. Though I still think he’s with the wrong girl….

okay book in the epic fantasy series a really good performance as usual by John Banks. the dialogue wasn't always as good as I hoped for but in some other cases it was a lot better....
