It has been a little over three years since the war with Pickens and his mercenary army. Their clan and the Black Bears of Independence lost many friends and family. The shifters have been slowly rebuilding their lives.

Dylan Birnbaum is a Sphinx cat shifter and Beta of the Hurst Family clan in Estes Park, Colorado. His mate, Caleb Richburg, is a black bear shifter. Together, they have overcome many of life’s challenges. Dylan finds himself raising his eight-year-old biological daughter after his best friend - to whom he donated sperm - dies in a horrible car crash. I absolutely love this series. Mrs. Hall is one of my favorite authors. The story flowed beautifully and the characters are relatable. Can the everlasting love between two shifters be enough to get them through secrets revealed? I definitely recommend this book and author.

Roland Parker is a new narrator to me. He did an amazing job being the characters to life.
