In an age of magic and myth, King Emrys reigns supreme in Camelot alongside his noble brother, Uther, having defeated the Saxon invaders. But peace is a fragile thing.

The bard Taliesin mastered many of the secrets of magic while still only a youth, and he knows the language as old as the earth. How he mastered this is a mystery, even to himself. But he will soon discover his mysterious past.

It is a tale of love and death, good and evil, sword and sorcery! An epic for the ages!

This was fast paced and enjoyable! The characters were likeable. It helped that I was already familiar with a few of them from Arthurian Legend and the Pendragon Cycle by Stephen Lawhead. Some parts felt rushed and I wished it was more fleshed out. It could have lingered on scenes longer, however I didn't mind that much because being too streamlined is preferable to having filler content--an issue a lot of other books have. I'll definitely be looking forward to more of Ian Wilson's work in the future.

Nice Fast-Paced Book
