As Good As Red, White and Royal Blue

As I listened to this, I felt the same desire to keep going I still feel for Red White and Royal Blue. I can highly recommend this book to anyone.

Cute but slow

This book was really cute, but very slow. The narrator was excellent. Nice Notting Hill fan fiction.

A perfect mostly calm a slow developing story — the best

I liked the story for its soothing narration, slow development, very little drama, and a lot of caring affection.

Super romantic!

A reminder of how we devalue ourselves. The cross cultural aspects of this British/USA romance are charming. I loved it!

Another “gay” story that feels like a woman wrote it

I have no clue who Hayden Stone is, but this feels like yet another “gay” romance written by a woman. The sex feels like a woman’s idea of what she thinks gay male sex is. The dialogue and the emotional intelligence of the characters feel like a woman’s— for better and otherwise. I’m a gay man and just felt so outside of this story. More than the fantasy of falling in love with a celebrity (and I’ve actually had that experience personally), there was just very little here that felt in any way authentic. I didn’t dislike it. It just felt thoroughly false. Like someone who thinks they know what the gay male experience is but absolutely and clearly just doesn’t. Fun. But phony.
