  • “Following Jesus Into Connection With People” Matthew 4:18–22 (Stephen Field)
    May 27 2024

Jesus calls us all to follow Him. But where does Jesus lead us? The answer is, “Into connection: connection with God and connection with our neighbours.” When the disciples followed Jesus they found themselves going into homes the rich and the poor, the powerful and the overlooked, the religious and the sinner. Jesus’ ministry centred on connecting with people where they were at. And this is how Jesus leads us today. When we follow Jesus, He connects us to people so we can show the grace of God to them.

  • “Mending Our World” Galatians 5:16–17, 22–26 (Stephen Field)
    May 20 2024

God has called us to participate with Him in His work of mending. The world is broken in so many ways: broken people, broken relationships, broken systems, broken communities. And, we also are broken in our own way. But the very parts of us that are the most broken are exactly the parts that God is wanting to mend in us, so we can then go and mend others. In this sermon we reflect on this great “mending” calling from God.

  • Easter Sunday “Jesus Is Alive” 1 Corinthians 15:1-20 (Stephen Field)
    Apr 9 2024

Jesus is alive! This is the great miracle we celebrate on Easter Sunday. Jesus is Alive! And the world will never be the same again. In today’s sermon, we reflect on what it means that we live in a world where Jesus has been raised into a new and eternal life. We celebrate how this has turned our world around: instead of living in a world where death (in all its forms) has the last word in our lives, we now live in a world where Jesus has defeated death, where life follows death.
