Prince’s stories from people that were like his family was very insightful.

Great sharing of insights into Prince. Would’ve been really cool to have each person read their own words, but still really good. Thanks for sharing.

The closest we will ever get to seeing the Documentary

I have 12 books on Prince in my library and this is by far the best. It’s real and honest. This and Mark Browns book I feel are the realest of all of them. It explains so much with those that lived around him. Of course we have heard many of these stories before but, I’ve never heard Susanna go into as much detail of her time with him. Very compelling., great job putting all this together!

Outstanding Details & Narration

Touré’s deep dive into Prince’s life is fascinating, inspiring, depressing, moving, funny & thorough.

I generally prefer when authors narrate their audiobooks. Touré takes this to the highest level.

He reads each person’s quotes with a vibe that resonates with the words as well as the speaker. Best example is when he imitates Vanity’s condescending tone when she met Susannah.

I’ve been a Prince fan since 1979. This book offered insight into Prince’s childhood and adult life with stories I hadn’t heard before.

Prince was a genius. He was fortunate to have people around him who often sacrificed their own happiness as well as emotional health to support his vision.

Touré’s light shines bright on all. A must listen for all Prince fans. And a recommended listen for anyone who simply enjoys a strong, well researched biography.

I’ve listened to many books

This one I loved so far, I really enjoyed learning so much personal on Prince. I have always had my own image of him as a lifelong fan and although I still don’t do well with anyone pointing out his flaws, he’s always been perfect in my eyes, but I feel like after this book I just love him even more.
